I totally agree. I have been around people who have asked for a Guinness because it was dark, and dark beers are the best. (I have nothing against Guinness, I enjoy it, but it is far from the best) I have also been around others who look for the abv to see what is the best. Drives me nuts. I have tried to teach my friends that all beers are different. Some get it, some don't.

I drink many many hop bombs (troegs nugget nectar and green flash IPA are my normal beers). I will drink porters (Sierra Nevada Porter usually when I go that route). I drink lagers (grew up near Yuengling, it is our go-to), and I will drink Pilsners (Victory Prima Pils, and Bel Pils are two faovrites for a hot day). I will try anything... once. But the darker high abv people drive me nuts (unless they are praising something like Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti).

Cheers!
